  2. My favorite Web-quest was the snowboarding slang. I really enjoyed the colors that were incorporated as they seemed very appropriate. I liked that the author went into great depth and detail. He included some of the history of snowboarding, along with its slang, and I feel like I learned the most from this Web-quest as I did not know much about it until now. The projects and activities designed for the students were extremely creative, and the person who made this Web-quest fulfilled all of the necessary requirements.

  3. I would have to say my favorite webquest is Jenelle's. We did the same topic, however, I feel that she incorportated more of the entire era instead of focusing on one slang and fasgin (like I did). Also, what I liked msot that stood out to me was that there were examples that were provided and not just assignments given! I thought it was a great and very colorful too!

  4. I really liked Sammi Jo's WebQuest on prison slang; the color scheme was very nice, and she had some interesting projects. I thought it was very well done!

I didn't really want to be pigheaded and say I liked mine best, but I really thought that more people would have embedded videos from YouTube in their WebQuests. Mike linked to one in his (which was great!), but it's more likely to be watched if it's actually embedded within the page. YouTube can be a very educational tool when used correctly, and I was disappointed that I didn't see more of that.

  5. This is really difficult to choose there were many different webquests that caught my eye.. *cough*cough (my own) :)... but besides that I'm going to choose Zach Solomon's. Zach Solomon's 1960s had a great vibe and one that I felt fit well with that time period, sometimes less is more... I felt the webquests with harsh and toooo bright of colors distracted from the point. Abby Morgan's was also great; I felt as if her topic would be more relatable with her students for the pure fact it's media. However, everyone did a great job.

  6. I believe that the best webquest was the 1920's one made by janelle. It was creative and really went to in depth in to the slang and the era. The presentation was colorful and intriguing.

  7. It's pretty clear after looking at these that everyone worked very hard and I think each one of these show a unique effort by each individual. That being said, I liked Megan Carey's version of 1960's slang in contrast and compliment to mine. Abby Morgan's Fan Fiction slang I found also very interesting. I've heard about that before, but didn't know it really had its own slang. Good job everyone!

  8. I would have to say that Jenelle's webquest was my favorite. It was colorful and she explained what she was asking for people to do. As well, she id give examples to show what she wanted

  9. I liked Samatha's the best. I love watching shows about prison. I enjoyed finding a little more information about prison slang. I find it fascinating how their slang evolves to throw off guards. The other part I enjoyed is the fact Samantha did this. She does not look like the type of person who would be interested in prisoner slang.

  10. I liked Josh's webquest the best. The lesson was interesting, and I liked the visuals he used on his sight. Also, I didn't know that much about soldier's slang before I read his webquest. It was very interesting!

  12. I enjoyed Abby Morgan's Fan Fiction web site. There was a lot of detail in the task/process section, along with links to various forms of the lingo. The visuals were good and there was also a youtube link, which was a nice addition. The evaluation section was also specific, which some of the other sites lacked. Tashina Craig also had a good site on hip hop slang. Lots of visuals and the song lyric task was a nice touch.

  13. I really like the military slang because my buddy has been in the Army for eight years and sometimes he talks like that to me. It's hard to understand at first, but after a while I got the hang of it. It seems to be a lot of abbreviations like RPG or IED and things like that, but yelling out letters instead of whole sentences is faster and easier and that is exactly what the soldier needs so it is understandable that they would use this slang.
